Services Offered
Victim Support and Resources
The Victim Services Program provides advocacy, practical assistance, and connections to community resources to help victims navigate the criminal justice process.
Victim Advocacy: Individualized support and guidance throughout the criminal justice process.
Court and Case Support: Assistance understanding court proceedings, case updates, and preparation for court, including pretrial preparation and meetings with the Victim Services Coordinator.
Transportation Assistance: Gas cards or rides to court hearings, pretrial preparation, meetings with Victim Services, and other relevant appointments.
Court-Appropriate Clothing: Assistance obtaining appropriate clothing for court appearances.
Resource Referrals: Connections to housing, healthcare, mental health services, and other community resources.
Safety and Support Planning: Helping victims explore their options, identify their needs, and connect with appropriate services.
Additional Financial Assistance: On a case-by-case basis, the program may be able to assist with expenses such as therapy copays when other resources have been explored and are unavailable or insufficient. This may include exploring options such as the Crime Victim Compensation Program before using program funds.
Our goal is to reduce barriers to accessing the justice system and help victims receive the support and resources they need. Assistance is based on individual circumstances, available funding, and program guidelines.
